Heat Treatment :
In order to remove stress particles from Explosion Bonded Clad Plates, Stress- Relieving Cycle will be carried in LDO fired Bogie Hearth Furnace as per the requirement of the material.
Furnace Capacity : 9Mtr. Length X 5.7Mtr. Width X 3.5Mtr. Height.

Deformed Explosion Bonded Clad Plates after undergoing Stress- Relieving Cycle, Straightening will be carried under Hydraulic Press in order to achieve Flatness Deviation not exceeding 2mm/Mtr. Maximum.

Explosion Bonded Clad Plates after completion of Stress-Relieving and straightening the final process will be Non-Destructive & Destructive Testing; this is further bifurcated as below.
Ultrasonic Testing :
- Non-Destructive : Ultrasonic Testing
- Destructive Testing : Mechanical Testing
All the Explosion Bonded Clad Plates 100% of the area will be Ultrasonically Tested or Scanned by well experienced Level II certified candidates as per the required Specification.

Mechanical Testing :
At the time of procurement of raw material for Explosion Bonding extra 50mm in the Length will be taken into account for Test Coupons. The Test samples will be identified by TPI in the Transverse Direction and drawn only from GOOD BOND ARED (GBA).Testing will be carried in in-house Universal Testing Machine with well experienced Lab Technicians. If required specifically by the customer Testing will also be carried in Govt. Approved Labs.
Test Carried : Tensile, Bend & Shear
Tensile Test will be carried after removal of clad portion from Test Coupon with Gauge length of 50 mm in order to crosscheck the physical properties of the Base Material after Cladding.
Two bend samples will be taken from the clad plate, one for Cladding in Compression and other for Cladding in Tension, this sample will be bent through an angle of 1800 without cracking in the outside of the bent portion for satisfactory results.
Bonding Shear Strength of Clad Plates with minimum acceptance limit of 140Mpa (20,000 psi) to be obtained after Cladding.
